Festival of Light: Event on May 28

Monday May 28th, 6.30pm at the Odessa Club, Dame Court, Dublin 2.
Entrance: FREE.

Are you interested in light? Does your work involve playing with, controlling, understanding, tweaking or manipulating light?

Calling all techno-artists, playful scientists, renegade engineers, architects, sculptors, lighting designers, fashion designers, guerilla projectionists and inventors...

The Science Gallery at Trinity College Dublin is developing a two week FESTIVAL OF LIGHT as its launching programme in January 2008 which will celebrate the art, science and technology of light through a range of installations and events around the city centre.

SEED and the Science Gallery are hosting an informal brainstorming meeting to discuss ideas and possibilities at the Odessa Club, Dame Court, Dublin 2 on May 28th at 6.30pm.

We welcome your ideas and suggestions for projects, people to involve and approaches to engaging diverse communities in the project.

Projects could be tiny enough to fit in a matchbox or large enough to control the lighting system of a whole skyscraper. Please feel free to bring along examples of your work.

For more information on the Festival of Light or to suggest ideas contact: Elizabeth Allen at the Science Gallery eallen@tcd.ie

Admission to this event is free but as places are limited, please confirm your attendance by e-mailing Sheloa Nichols: seed.artscience@gmail.com
